2018 Utility System Repair Project

During the summer and fall of 2018 a District Contractor will complete a number of infrastructure repair and replacement projects. Work includes: reconstruction of sanitary sewer manholes, repair of leaking sewer laterals and mainlines, repair of a sewer pump station wetwell,  removal of previously abandoned water meters and valves, installation of water treatment process improvements, installation of a fire hydrant and realignment of a portion of a water main. The work will start the first week of August and be completed by the end of September.  Work will only occur Monday through Friday and is limited to the hours of 7:00 am to 5:00 pm (equipment is not allowed to “warm-up” or idle prior to 7:00 am). You will be notified 48 hours in advance of any planned water or sewer shutdown that affects your home and outages will only occur between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm. The affected streets and tentative dates are: 

August 6th-10th:Upper Cascade Road
August 13th-17th:Palisade Road near Cascade Road, Kidd Court and Baxter Road
August 20th-24th:Serene Road near Frosty Drive, Hemlock Drive cul-de-sac, Yuba Drive near Pahatsi Road, Spruce Road near Tamarack Road and Lake Drive near Beacon Road
August 27th-31st:Intersection of Short Road and Serene Road
September 4th-7th:Soda Springs Road near Sierra Road
September 10th-14th:Soda Springs Road (south end near Dog Park)
September 17th-21st: Pavement patching at all locations
September 24th-28th:Pavement patching all locations

During construction there will be a significant amount of equipment activity and we ask that you watch for traffic control signage and make sure that your children and pets do not enter the work areas.  District Staff will be on-site during construction and available at any time to answer your questions or concerns.
